I'm Magnich Chuck Rabardi. In March, Britain's

National Health Service announced that it will no longer routinely prescribe

puberty blockers to gender questioning young

people under the age of 18. In April, England's highest health

regulator, the Care Quality Commission, announced that it would similarly enforce the ban among

England's private clinics. The change follows guidance published last month in a

highly anticipated independent scientific review of gender health services for children in England.

That review was commissioned by the NHS itself, and it concludes that, quote, for most young people a medical pathway will not be the best way to manage their gender related distress

British pediatrician Dr Hillary Cass led the independent review, now popularly known as the Cass Review.

Cass is one of Britain's most highly respected pediatricians and former president of the Royal Society of Pediatrics and Child Health.

She gave on point her first U.S. broadcast interview.

Dr. Cass explained to us why Britain's NHS is now taking an extremely cautious approach

when considering puberty blockers or cross sex hormones for young people.
