this is turned into a little bit of a saga here on Monday. I got a ex post from a listener saying that Brandon Tierney, our guy, our colleague, BT, got thrown out of a 10-U baseball game. And I said, oh, man, you know, that's interesting that someone would say that. I don't know if it's true or not. And then we said, let's get BT on to see if it's true. We found out he's on vacation so I'm like I'm not going to bother him on his vacation about this silly stuff and

you know then we said, let's get B.T. on to see if it's true. We found out he's on vacation.

So I'm like, I'm not going to bother him on his vacation about this silly stuff. And then we forgot about it. Then we got a caller, called up and said, my friend was at the game. And he saw this and he got thrown out. And I was like, all right, that's the secondhand account. still not really, I don't know what really happened here.

And it's not fair for me to assume that BT was out of line when we have no idea what his

side of the story is.

I have no clue.

Or if it's even true at all.

But we finally have a firsthand eyewitness on the line.

Okay. And that is Bill in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Good morning, Bill. How are you?

Good morning, guys. Longtime fan. Love the show. It's been listening since 87, first-time

caller. Oh, wow. First-time caller.

All right, go for it.

Yeah, we were at Fort Lee American Field in Fort Lee.

And let me start by saying that BT's son is some ball player in that entire team.

Those kids are a very, very good baseball team and a lot of fun to watch them play.

But there was a call in the beginning of the game where a kid left the base early and the umpire in little league baseball in 10 years old, you can't leave till the ball passes the batter. The umpire threw the flag and Bt's start it came right down from first base and started let her have it at home plate and then let the field umpire have it and wouldn't let it go and then uh, Fort Lee was winning five nothing. And BP's team was coming back.

The pitcher fell apart a little bit,

but he composed himself. And, uh, there was a play at third base to end the game. The umpire banged the kid out, and BT came out charging. And, uh, I won't say on the air what was, uh, said in that conversation. a lot of it shouldn't have been said around 10-year-olds, but it was interesting to say to least.
