And we just started praying, Lord, what do you want us to do? Is there anyone else you want us to talk to you both on the same scooter?

One of those electric scooters you rent when I saw this big frat party ahead on the street. And I prayed while we're on the scooter approaching that house, said, Lord, if you want us to go there, then I pray that you would just make it so clear that this scooter would just suddenly die and stop in front of the house.

I was like, there is no way this is going to happen. I remember, I pray this out loud and Ty heard it.

And suddenly the scooter died exactly in front of the house.

I couldn't make this up.

Great to be back for another fantastic week of hearing stirring stories.

It's going to encourage and lift your spirits.

We are relentlessly bombarded by a cocktail of negativity in the press that just

induces fear and cynicism and apathy and anxiety. And we need to nip that in the bud and listen

to positive voices that are going to stir faith. And that's the plan this week. And I've got

no doubt you're going to be inspired because we've got with us the wonderful Kevin Werfel. Welcome Kevin.

How's it going? Wonderful to be here. Yeah, great to have you. Well, you're in Spain. It's hot where you are. There's a bit of aircon in the background, but hopefully we'll have good connectivity.

I heard about Kevin through Rob Colwell, a fusion who was until today our youngest podcastee, I think he's about 24,

and was telling loads of stories about his journeys as a mystery kid as well,

and around the world and through student work at Loughborough University, which is my

alma mater as well. And he was telling me about Kevin saying, Simon, you've

got to get this guy on. He's absolutely gold. He's totally on fire. And so I'm very excited

to have you on. Kevin. So go on. I don't know much about your background, your back story. So who are you?

Yeah. Wow. Well, to be honest, the best thing I can say is I'm just someone that Jesus loved and rescued, and I love him with all my heart. But that all started back when I was about five years old. I was born in Brazil, but moved to Germany. I believe around that time is when I was born again, and Jesus encountered me through the preaching of the simple gospel.
