No, I don't look back and dwell on my dad didn't love me.

You know, my mom died giving birth to me.

And I don't mean to belittle.

I just feel like we'd belittle the miracle of knowing him and what he can do.

Well, we are here with one of all of our favorite friends, Francis Chan.

It is so good to hang out for the next 45 minutes an hour.

Sweet Francis just, I told him, you know, hey, we'll be done for sure by noon. He was on his time zone. He thought I was about to make him talk for almost

three hours. And he was like, I mean, that's going to be long. But okay, Jenny. So I just am endeared

to you that you would sit here and talk. And everybody listening is like, you know, please talk for

three hours, Francis, please talk for three hours. And a little bit hurt that you don't want to talk

to me for three hours. I mean, dude, we could. It never is boring. Every time you and I talk,

it is never boring. And what we're going to talk about today, as everybody

knows, we're in the conversation around lies. And what's cool is right now, I mean,

in October, you have a book that came out that is about identity. It's about being the beloved

child of God. And so we're going to dig into that.

But before we do any of that, I actually want to start way high big picture. And someone just told me,

I did not know this, a part of your story, that you lost your mom, dad, and step parent, stepmother, stepfather, step mom, all when you were

young. Can you just tell us a little of your story and like where, not to dive into the deepest

part, but we're going there. No, totally. My mom died giving birth to me, actually. So in the hospital, she just

bled out and died. And then my dad didn't want me because he just felt like, well, you killed my wife,

gave me up for adoption. But my aunt and grandmother took me away before he could give me to
