road alone. Hey guys, this Cynthia. Welcome to Pardon the Mess. Don't worry. I have not started smoking.

I just have a cold.

So I sound a little off today. And speaking of smoking, there was a time when I thought about it for

a while because I heard it was an appetite suppressant. I was like, hey, maybe that's my next best

step. In fact, it's not. I'm kidding. And so I'm not a smoker, but I do have a cold. And funny enough, Ashley Abercrombie is with us today.

And she comments on her voice sounding bad as well because she's not getting enough sleep.

So all around bad voices.

But I'm glad you're here.

Ashley Abercrombie is an author, a speaker, a podcaster.

Recently, she's written a book called Love is the resistance. And it was awesome to talk to her today because she's got so much of the

Lord's working in her life. She does so much justice-minded. She also has a story and she talks

about the power of our story in our own lives. And I would say this is not the podcast to listen

to with your kids in the car. Ashley has a background where she talks about sexual assault in college that was committed against her.

She talks about an abortion and what the Lord has worked in her life through that and since that time.

And I'm just so thankful that she comes to us really honestly willing to share some really tough things.

But as a believer where she is now. And I just believe that God

is speaking through her so powerfully and that there are lots of people that need to hear what she

has to say. So I'm so grateful Ashley is here today. I'm grateful you're here today. And here we go.
