My Lord and my God I firmly believe that you are here, that you see me, that you hear me.

I adore you with profound reverence. I beg your pardon for my sins, and the grace to make this time of prayer fruitful.

Today, as we celebrate the solemnity of all saints.

We want to consider a truth that we proclaim and confess in the creed,

Today we celebrate a very special feast because it is the feast of so many martyrs, so many saints, who have gone before us, who have fought the good fight, who have died, and they are only known to God alone.

It is kind of the church's feast of the unknown soldier.

But the thing is, we believe that all those saints, all those brothers and sisters of ours who have preceded

us in the faith and have handed it on to us have not simply died and been forgotten. They are alive

as St. John says, they are the ones who have come out of the Great Tribulation and have washed

And who are they? They are of a great variety.
