This is a story about a young fox who wishes she could fly and jump, like the crickets and

butterflies she plays with every day.

Prika, the fox, has so much energy she never seems to get tired.

Her mother notices that she has trouble sleeping at night and gives paprika an idea to help her sleep.

The fox who could fly.

paprika was a young fox who was full of energy.

She would run through the meadows and forests of her home every day.

She could run and play all day long, only stopping when her mother called her to come and eat.

Her best friends were all the wonderful creatures who could fly and jump about the meadow.

The crickets and butterflies let her chase them and she would often come close to catching them.

None of the other little foxes were as fast as paprika and none of them could run fast enough to catch a butterfly.

She had so much energy that she seemed to never get tired.

As it got later in the day and it was time for her friends to fly away, paprika wished that she could fly too.

Her fox friends would sometimes tease her when she mentioned that she would fly like a butterfly one day.

Foxes don't have wings, they would say.

But paprika didn't listen to them because she thought the sky was a wonderful, magical place.

She really did believe that someday she would fly.

paprika came home for dinner and was still full of energy.

She could hardly sit still at dinner, even though her mother would always say it's dinner and time to slow down.
