The photo behind me is from the day that I was baptized.

I am that dude with lots of curly hair and the gray tank,

looking down and sheepish.

But this was right around when I was 13 years old,

and that summer I had gotten involved in a youth group,

and what I had learned about Jesus for all the years leading up to that point

seemed to finally click.

And I loved Jesus, and all I wanted to do was follow Him.

I was worshipping Jesus passionately.

I was eating up all the scriptures that I could,

and went to youth group as often as I could,

and I got involved in starting playing guitar on the worship team.

Here's a more direct photo of me at the time.

What you might have been able to tell is I basically have a mullet in this photo.

I a curly, joe dirt sort of mullet.

I kept telling my grandfather, I just need you to like cut the sides,

but don't cut the top in the back,

which is the directions you would give to your barber if you wanted a mullet.

And if you're observant enough, you may notice that my shirt does not say Reese is on it,

but it does in fact say Jesus, King of Kings, Sweet Savior.
