Vine, author and caregiver, Debbie Compton. Welcome, Debbie. Thank you for having me, Lance.

I'm excited to be here. It's our pleasure. It's our pleasure. Debbie, I want to kind of start off with

I introduced you as an author. You got some of your titles behind you. I got some of them here

next to me. But I said caregiver. How did you become a caregiver? Did you plan to be a caregiver?

No. Yeah. I was in business traveling coast to coast and leading a team nationwide.

And I knew my folks were not doing wonderful, but we were getting by.

And things were starting to get a little bit worse,

and meaning I would fix their medications before I'd go out of town and have them in their

boxes, but everything was going pretty well, and everybody was maintaining until they weren't,

which is so often the way that it happens. And my dad accidentally took my mother's pills,

and he has low blood pressure. She has high. And so he was nearly comatose.

And I was in California, which by the way, I live in Oklahoma, not close. So that was a problem.

And then I was on the other coast when my mom passed out at the Daily Living Center and had to be
