Our focus is on verse 27 in John 6.

Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life,

which the son of man will give to you, for on him God the Father has set his seal. So let's get the setting

clear again. In verses 1 to 15, Jesus had crossed the sea from the Copernium west side over to the east side,

and there he had turned five loaves and a few

fish into enough food by a miraculous power to feed 5,000 plus people. It was a sign and the sign

pointed to himself as the bread of life.

Now in the morning, the crowd can't find Jesus and they're very perplexed because they knew

that the disciples had left him there and they can't find him.

So they get in boats and they cross over to the other side looking for him

and they find him in the synagogue of Copernium. We know that because verse 59 says Jesus said these

things in the synagogue as he taught at Copernium. So this whole dialogue in this chapter is happening
