Happy Thanksgiving.

I hope you all had a great week, as I've pretty much done every year since I started going back to my old

podcast five or six years ago typically take Thanksgiving week off because we always release

on Thursday mornings and of course Thursday is always Thanksgiving and so just doesn't seem like

a time when I think a lot of people are taking in a lot of content,

quite frankly. I think most people are trying to spend time with their families, enjoy food and friends

and good times and maybe a few drinks. And in my case, as I'm sure in a lot of your cases, a lot of

football as well, one of the things that I was able to do this year, one of kind of the perks of the new

job that I haven't really been able to do at all in years past is that I was actually able to

spend Thanksgiving with my in-laws who lived down in Maryland, which was a pleasant change,

because now that I'm kind of sharing the beat with my colleague

Peter Baugh, he had his girlfriend's family up in the Boston area who he was able to go and

spend Thanksgiving with. So he offered to take that Friday afternoon game on Black Friday

against the Bruins, which allowed me a couple days to get out of town,

take the wife and kids down with the family, and have a really, really nice Thanksgiving,

a very relaxing kind of quiet, but good family time type of Thanksgiving, which is just how

I like it. And so, again, really happy to be able to do that. And now very happy to be back.

I hope you all had an enjoyable holiday as well for those who celebrate, maybe some

Canadian listeners up north, not so much, but certainly for the American audience. And then

once our little Thanksgiving break was over, I came back to New York on Friday night pretty late so that I was in town for that Saturday afternoon game at Madison Square Garden against the Tampa Bay Lightning, which might have been one of the worst games, maybe the very
