I'm your host, Vincent McCogliano of The Athletic. I apologize for coming to you guys a day later than usual this week. It was kind of a last second thing. Just a couple scheduling things came up where I could have tried to squeeze it in on our usual Wednesday of recording, but it just kind of made more sense for all parties involved. If we gave ourselves the day and recorded today, which is Thursday, May 28th,

so this episode will be dropping Friday morning as opposed to the usual Thursday, but I hope

you guys still hung in there and hope you're still able to find the podcast

and hopefully enjoy the podcast. We are going to continue with some draft talk this week

that's going to dominate a lot of these podcasts leading up to June 26th when I will be traveling

to Buffalo for the draft.

My loose plan for the next month or so is to have guests on that will preview the teams who are picking in front of the Rangers.

We're going to probably work some other guests in here.

I do plan on probably having either Corey Promin or Scott Wheeler, our prospect writers at The Athletic on, to kind of preview the draft a bit as we get closer to it.

Did that a few weeks ago with Chris Peters as well. But I'm finding myself sort of curious about what the teams picking in front of the Rangers are thinking, whether that might be

trade possibilities, whether that might be which prospects they're honing in on to give us a

better feel for who might be available to the Rangers. And so this week we are going to kind of

start sorting through that by talking to my colleague at the athletic Jonas Siegel, who covers the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I don't know if you've heard anything coming out of Toronto recently, but they have had a lot of drama going on all season, but especially in the last couple months, hiring a new GM, firing their coach, their best player.

Does he want to stay?
