I'm your host, Vincent McCogliano of the athletic, and the season is officially over, at least for the New York Rangers. The NHL playoffs, of course,

are marching on, but the Rangers have all gone home for the summer after an extremely

disappointing season.

I myself am back home after being on the road all week last week.

I apologize for the wait.

Things always get kind of crazy at the end of the season, especially when you're ending on the road.

So it was traveling back last Thursday.

It was getting ready for breakup day, which is always a bear on Friday where you interview essentially every player on the team as well as Mike Sullivan.

And then later in the day, we had our Zoom call with Chris Jury.

So a lot of stuff to absorb and sort through and getting the podcast done on either one of those days just would have been really, really hectic.

Ended up just deciding to go on with the Blue Shirts Breakaways guys on Monday.

So you heard me there, hopefully earlier in the week, along with Molly Walker.

Had a pretty good chat, definitely set the stage for some off-season stuff,
