Hello, hello, hello, and whoa Canada.

Team Canada just survived a wild one against Chequia.

I am at my house right now, got back from Rangers practice, at least practice for the non-Olympians.

A little bit earlier this afternoon on Wednesday.

I had been tracking the game.

Some of you might have seen me tweet that I had the game up on my laptop while I was simultaneously watching practice.

Admittedly, probably watching a little bit more of the game with how crazy it turned

out to be and got home for the third period, saw the checks go ahead, then saw a late goal from

Nick Suzuki to send that game to overtime, and then in OT, a tremendous individual

effort on Mitch Marner, who finishes really working his way through three defenders and then

putting the backhand into the roof,

the top corner of the goal and letting all of Canada. I feel like you could feel it even here from

New York exhale because it felt like the upset was coming. I know many hockey fans, myself included,

have been hoping that we might see that U.S. Canada

matchup in the gold medal round of the Olympics.

That is slated to be played on Sunday.

But both teams have a long way to go to get there.

And Canada almost got tripped up here on Wednesday in the quarterfinal.

So that's the situation I'm in right now as I sit here and record this.

By the time you hear this episode, Team USA's quarterfinal against Sweden will be over.

So I don't want to go too much into analyzing what we've seen so far because that game could very

much change the way that everybody
