I'm your host, Vincent Mercagliano of The Athletic, and I am back for our

first episode of the Olympic break. I think we're going to have three of these while the

NHL season is paused and many of the best players in the world are over in Italy, along with a handful

of my colleagues from the athletic who are covering the tournament, which I encourage everybody

to check out. And so, well, we watch from afar from my home here back in New York and take a little

breather. It's going to give us a time to sort of dive into some other topics, certainly scale back for a little bit.

I mean, I have to be honest with you guys.

This hasn't been the heaviest work week I've had all season, have written a few stories.

I've made a couple appearances elsewhere, but it is kind of nice to, in the heat of what felt like a whirlwind,

especially for the Rangers leading up to that roster freeze last week

when we know at the buzzer they were able to pull off the trade

that sent Artemi Panarin to the Los Angeles Kings.
