I'm your host, Vincent McCogliano of The Athletic, and we have a jam-packed episode for you today.

I know I probably say that all the time, but today there is just so much to cover.

It feels like including an interview that I'm really excited about, which is going to preview a story of mine and my colleague, Shana Goldman's, that will be coming

up on the athletic. So basically, this is the first time. Her and I have known each other for a long

time. You guys probably heard her on the New Ice City podcast a handful of times if you used to listen.

And we've always talked about wanting to collaborate on a story, and we came up with an idea to

sort of peel back some of the layers as far as Mike Sullivan's system is concerned, and look at it

during the season once we had a large enough sample size to kind of comment on how the

Rangers were doing and how things were working and all the different

moving pieces. And so we ended up writing a pretty detailed, lengthy story that will be up on

the athletic Thursday morning that this one solely focuses on the mainly offensive side of

things for the Rangers.

Obviously, they're scoring issues recently.

They've been kind of a topic all season, but it's really come to the forefront in the last 24

hours or so.

So we break down everything, how the Rangers are trying to generate offense off the

forecheck, how the Rangers are making their decisions and attacking

through the neutral zone, the different varieties or different ways that Mike Sullivan wants

them to try to generate offense. And above all that, why are they having so much trouble doing
