0:25.2	The bark was rough beneath their shoes and a few green leaves fluttered up around them like confetti.

0:35.4	Um, yeah, we're alive on a tree and a sea of lava, Raina said.
0:41.3	I don't think alive is the right word yet, Amar.
0:45.1	The tree bobbed gently up and down, drifting along on a bubbling, current of red, hot, steaming, lava. And behind them, the jungle gym disappeared, sinking into the lava,
1:02.3	like a forgotten toy in a bathtub. I guess our bikes are probably long gone by now, Raina muttered.
1:09.9	Yeah, I think the whole playground is gone, too, Amar said back.
1:14.0	The kids could not believe what they were seeing.
1:17.9	The wobbly bridge was gone.

1:22.2	Even the row of swings had melted into bright little splashes of color.
1:27.4	And the whole place where they had played a thousand times was now a glowing sea of lava.
1:34.8	And somehow, they were floating across it on an oak tree.

1:40.7	He broke off a sturdy branch and dipped it into the lava like a paddle. He yanked it back out
1:47.6	almost instantly, and the end was glowing, orange and smoking. Okay, I guess that was a bad idea,
1:56.3	he said. The tree drifted on its own, slow and steady.
2:01.5	The lava made a soft popping sound like a giant pot of orange soup on a stove.
2:08.2	He rose up around them in shimmering waves.
2:11.8	But somehow, the tree didn't catch fire.
