0:00.0	Well, in the dark days leading up to World War II and during World War II, an English author who had experienced the horrors of World War I firsthand wrote about this increasing menace and talked with wonder about this mystical land of the West.
0:14.2	His name was J.R.R. Tolkien and he always referred to the West and how the Reforged Sword Anderil was the flame of the West. And I'm here to talk
0:22.4	about the flame of the West today. Hi, everybody. I'm here with Steve Green and Scott Ott. And
0:26.7	gentlemen, I want to talk to you as a cover, sort of as an introduction to a much deeper topic,
0:31.7	about a company called Anderil. Anderil is the name of the sword that was reforged from Narsil. It is the sword that Aragorn wields at the end of Lord of the Rings.
0:40.4	It is literally translated as the Flame of the West, Anderil.
0:45.2	Anderil is what I will rather generously call a mom-and-pop defense organization.
0:50.8	One of the many products that Andrew makes is what you're seeing right here.
0:55.0	You can tell it's about a little box about the size of a simple corner mailbox.
0:59.0	If it detects an aerial vehicle entering your airspace, whether it be a drone or an enemy aircraft,
1:05.0	it activates and the lid comes up and up comes this missile called the Roadrunner.
1:10.0	The Roadrunner then flies out of this box autonomously, goes on an intercept course,
1:14.9	and will destroy either the joint or the incoming aircraft,
1:18.3	and that would be pretty cool, you have to admit.
1:20.8	But what's even cooler is if for some reason it either misses or decides
1:24.6	that you want to call the mission off, Roadrunner will fly back to its box,
1:30.1	deploy its landing gear, land, and be ready to be refueled and reused again. They have an
1:37.3	undersea vehicle that looks like a torpedo. It's an autonomous marine vehicle that goes out and
1:42.8	gets all kinds of reconnaissance information.
1:46.0	They have an extremely high speed, fully automated drone that goes flying around.
1:52.0	They have helicopters that come out of boxes and fly around and do surveillance and shoot down drones and all the rest of this stuff.
1:58.0	And this is a simple startup company.
