Throw in the fact that Sarkisian's debut comes against a veteran Louisiana team (opening the season in the AP Top 25 - at No. 23 - for the first time in school history), coached by Billy Napier, who drew interest from two SEC coaching vacancies after last year's 10-1 season and the intrigue escalates.
Brown talks about how facing the Ragin Cajuns' fifth-year, dual-threat quarterback Levi Lewis will be good preparation for the other dual-threat quarterbacks Texas will face this season against the likes of TCU, Oklahoma State, Iowa State and Baylor.
This week’s episode also gets into Sarkisian's decision to start redshirt freshman quarterback Hudson Card (a story Brown broke last Saturday) with plans to also play redshirt junior QB Casey Thompson and how that's a departure for Sarkisian from past decisions about his signal-callers.
Brown covers all the variables that will impact Saturday's game - right down to a near-100-degree forecast - and how he's not surprised the betting line favoring Texas has shrunk.
The Flagship also dissects the Texas depth chart release this week and how Horns247 members shouldn't have been surprised by any of the starters. But Brown admits there were a few surprises beyond the starters and discusses which ones.
