Summary
After a wild few weeks, Horns247 broke the story that Tom Herman has hired both Chris Ash as the Longhorns' next defensive coordinator and Mike Yurcich as the offensive coordinator. While Ash was the leading candidate in Herman's search for a new DC, Herman narrowed in on Ohio State passing coordinator, Yurcich, after the head coach stripped Tim Beck of his OC title following the 7-5 regular season.
On a New Year's edition of The Flagship Podcast, Horns247 columnist Chip Brown and managing editor Taylor Estes open the show breaking down the hiring of Yurcich, and what this means for the future of the Texas offense. The Flagship then brings on Horns247 publisher Bobby Burton for his take on Yurcich. We are also joined by Robert Allen of Triple Play Sports and Oklahoma State sideline reporter for an inside look of Herman's hiring of Yurcich as OC.
Chip and Taylor close the show with their highlights of the last decade of Texas athletics and what they are looking forward to in 2020. We hope you enjoy our New Year's special edition of The Flagship Podcast.
