First, let's settle in together calls the five remembrances, and these are five things

The first is, I am of the nature to grow old. I am of the nature to grow old.

Second, I am of the nature to experience ill health. The third, I am of the nature to die.

Well, these are truths that we live with as humans, and we could deny that they exist and try to

just be positive and pretend like everything is good, but anyone that's tried that for an extended

period of time knows that life will eventually catch up to you. And so if we're not also

acknowledging these other real dimensions of what it means to be human, we develop no useful

skills for how to work with them when the difficulty does arise.
