Of course, we are talking about tariffs, and boy, people are getting testy and sensitive about this.

We're living in an Orochak world, which is completely to be expected, where basically you have two

types of people.

People who can separate their feelings about any given political actor to just

try to understand and assess the situation based on the facts that we're seeing and operate on

that basis. The other set of folks cannot separate their interpretation of events from their

affiliation vis-a-vis political actors. And I mean that on both sides. The people who think

Trump is God's gift and the people who think he's an orange demon are in this way united because

they cannot truly separate their feelings. Now ultimately, we're all adults who get to decide

how we're going to operate. My MO and what I try to bring to this show every day is a dispassionate

analysis that doesn't get caught up in my priors. It's why you hear so many different sides of any given story. It's why there isn't just one set of people who tweet who I agree with who I share their opinions. And hopefully if you're rocking with me on this ride at this point, you're in for that perspective. But as you'll see, it gets a little testy in the middle of this episode because of some people not wanting to somehow talk about the

most significant

economic story that we've experienced in a very long time. In any case, for those of you who are here,

I of course appreciate your contributions to this discourse. And it will surprise you none to find out

that I think that my audience of listeners who I do see constantly trying to actually get

to the root of issues and who have the mental flexibility to update their perspectives without

abandoning their core principles or ideas is a better way to live. So with that affirmation,
