Everybody talks about how much they love Friday, the end of the work week, the beginning of the weekend.

I wonder, do you have a favorite day of the week? For a Christian,

our favorite day of the week ought to be the Lord's Day. It ought to be Sunday. That's the first

day of the week. You see, God's a God of beginnings. He wants not the leftovers. He wants

the first fruits. And that's what Sunday is. In the New Testament, the disciples met on the first day of the week because that was the day of the resurrection of Christ.

They were celebrating the fact that he had risen from the dead.

Revelation chapter 1, verse 10, the Bible says of John that he was in the spirit on the Lord's Day.

I hope that's true of me and I hope that's true of you.

I do love Sundays. I love meeting with God's people. I hope that's true of me and I hope that's true of you. I do love Sundays.

I love meeting with God's people.

Throughout the New Testament, you see them assembling on the first day of the week.

Acts chapter 20, verse number 7.

1 Corinthians chapter 16, verse 2.

They brought their offerings on the first day of the week.

I mean by that, the first Sunday meeting of the New Testament Church.
