Hey, everyone. I'm your other host, Caitlin. And welcome to this week's episode where we're talking all about the first Star Wars documentary, the making of Star Wars from 1977.

I'm excited. I'm really excited to be talking about this documentary that

I swear I've seen before, but it's fun to return to in this intentional way. I don't know if I've

ever watched it or watched it in totality. Obviously, a lot of the clips in it I recognize and even

some of the behind the scenes clips I recognize from other documentaries. But when I was watching it, I was thinking,

have I, have I seen this before? Or am I remembering this from another place?

The interviews are it for me, the cast. Which we'll get to, but those felt very new to me.

So I'm excited to talk about them.

But I just know that this one hour special has way more footage that has appeared in other documentaries

and also is definitely on the cutting room floor that Lucasfilm owns that I want to see it all.

So release all of the footage from this one hour documentary.

Well, maybe not because this was, this aired on ABC.

So maybe they have all the, all the archival.

I don't know the legalities around that.

I don't know either.

I mean, obviously there's the stuff that was shot on set.

Yeah, but I mean, yeah, okay. That's a lot of interconnectedness. I'm not prepared to think through.

Anyway, I feel like the reason why we really wanted to dive into this first Star Wars documentaries, first off, obviously Caitlin and I love behind the scene stuff. Second, this is the first one. It feels like a really good place to,
