As always, this is the Elder Scrolls podcast,

and today we are talking all about the needs.

And you might need some elaboration on that for people who aren't into the...

Because I guess it's like needs doesn't come up often if you're just playing the games.

It doesn't. And we're talking spelled N-E-D-E-S, not needs as in wants and needs.

Or I need this. But they need an infusion of Elder Scrolls law straight into

their veins. So the needs are basically a very, very ancient, primitive human race. And they're the

predecessor to imperials, but potentially other races, as we'll talk about.

And there's a lot of theories about them.

Some say that they were always in Tamriel, and then you have the theory that they came to Tamriel from Atmora.

Yeah.

Well, we got to, like, too, also, so needs to understand needs too, is like if you were to compare it to a real life culture to help understand, it's about as useful as saying Celts as in that like Irish Celts or French, you know, Gauls, or Halstack Celts and all of that, they have some broad notes and broad strokes that are similar, some

sort of biological and like language ties, but they actually form quite individual cultures

themselves. So the needs, and it's just the one term that we've got, needs is kind of like

the equivalent of Celts. There's lots of certain geographical areas, like there's the needs of the

deathlands or the needs of you know black

marsh or syrilyle and stuff like that they all have quite distinct cultures and stuff of course

there's some broad similarities or but it the more like they're kind of like indigenous well if they
