0:25.1	So I have a friend named John Gordon who every year he sends me a text and he says, do
0:30.5	you have a word for the year? And he sort of become well known across the country as
0:35.8	the one word guy. And at first I didn't really like doing that. Naring my whole year to
0:41.7	one word was always really frustrating, a little irritating, felt too narrowing, but because
0:48.6	he was my friend I would always then try to find a word. And one of the exciting parts
0:55.8	of that process is focusing your life, is deciding what am I going to give myself to?
1:03.2	What am I going to say no to? So that I can say yes to these things in my life. And
1:11.2	I started thinking about how in the scriptures God actually gives us a word. And so whatever
1:19.8	our other words may be, if you are a follower of Jesus, there's supposed to be one word that's
1:27.0	always at the center, and that word is Jesus. And I started realizing as I listened to people
1:35.7	that there's a high level of discomfort around the name of Jesus, the language of Jesus.
1:43.0	Not in spaces where other people believe with you, then you're very open and feel very natural
1:49.3	and it feels very comfortable. But what I find in the world in which we live right now, there's
1:57.6	almost two different expressions of spirituality. It's the person who very comfortably speaks about
2:04.2	the universe. And they'll talk not about God, but they'll talk about the universe and not
2:10.0	about Jesus, but about the universe. In fact, I've had a lot of people who believe in God and who
2:14.2	believe in Jesus still use the language of the universe because well, it's more comfortable for
2:18.6	other people. And so those people who use the language of the universe, a lot of times people
