Now Ibn Kudama goes into a quick listing of what is Arcan and what is Wajibat, and in short, we will just quickly go over them.

And again, remember, this class is not comparative Firk. If I were to do comparative Firk, this topic of Arcan and Wajibat would literally take five or six weeks.

Because we would have to go into which Medhab says it, which Medhab doesn't why, and that is beyond the scope right now.

And now, the beginning student must memorize one Medhab to make life easy, just to know, and be consistent with this Medhab.

Then later on, once you want to do advanced, if anybody wants to, then you go and you study, who says what and what not.

For now, you need one Medhab to basically be consistent.

So, what are the Arcan and what are the Wajibat?

And remember, the difference between a Rukun and a Wajib is very simple.

A Rukun cannot be made up. If you miss a Rukun, you have to go back to where you missed the Rukun and start your Salah from there again.

There is nothing you can do to make up a Rukun.

So, if you missed a Rukun, so suppose you missed a Rukun and the second Rakaah.

There is a four Rakaah, imagine. And in the second Rakaah, you missed a Rukun.

Now, one of the Arcan will study is the Sejda.

Suppose in the second Rakaah instead of Sejda, you forgot and you stood up.

And you didn't even do the Sejda.

Suppose, I'm just saying.

And you remembered in the fourth Rakaah, oh, I forgot the Sejda of the second Rakaah.

You cannot do anything other than to go back.

It's as if you didn't pray, two and three and four.

And you go back to where you missed the Rukun.

Right then and there, you don't say a new Takpeer.
