We're going to have a very brief class in inshallah and open Q&A about the Ahkam or the

0:17.7

rulings of Iyat Tikaf and JazakAllah Khair. And let's begin by, of course, mentioning what is

0:26.0

the concept of Iyat Tikaf. Iyat Tikaf comes from the verb Aakafa. Aakafa. So, for example,

0:34.8

Allah Shukhanu Ta'ala mentions that the Bani Israel when they left Egypt, they came across a group

0:40.0

of people. They were circling and respecting their idol. And so they said we wanted idol like

0:54.0

this idol. So Allah used the word Aakafa, Ya Qufun. The meaning of Aakafa is therefore to stick

2:06.9

and we learn so much from it. We do not approach your women

2:16.0

while you are doing Iyat Tikaf in the Masjid. What are the two things that break Iyat Tikaf? Number one,

2:27.2

approaching the women, number two, leaving the Masjid. Allah's,

2:31.9

Allah's, the end of the story, class over guys, Bismillah, we're done. Literally, that's really,

2:36.4

that's it. Wa la tubaash yiruhuna wa antum aakifuna fil masajid. These are the two things that

2:43.0

break the Iyat Tikaf. Intimacy with your spouse and leaving the Masajid. Allah Azza Wajal
