Summary

Every once in a while you kinda want to go big or go home. Problem is, if you are going to spend a little extra, you want to make sure you get quality, authenticity, and a true premium experience. As pipe enthusiasts, we know that ‘matter matters’ and we all appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into the various pipes and pipe tobaccos available to us. In this series, we will expand our horizons beyond the pipe to discover top shelf products and experiences that bring us joy and up our sophistication game along the way.

Ready Room was established in 2018 by the Partnership of Ken Bridge (Highly Regarded Houston Area Restauranteur) & Peter Clifton (A renowned Houston Bartender) and was originally known as "Reddi Room" in 1941, named after the Reddi Family. This place was once known for its roots in the national blues movement, as musicians came from all Six Wards of Houston to play at Reddi Room. Our mission is to preserve this history through local Jazz Music, Cocktails, and the fellowship of all people. We will make a memory with you.

Okay, I'm excited, man, because, you know, the episode we're going to be doing today, it's a finer things episode. Yeah. You once got on to me because of like, you know, a certain type of episode, the kind in which

0:38.4

pairs certain types of things with certain other types of things.

0:41.6

The kind that cannot be named.

0:44.3

The kind that long time listeners know came up so many times.

0:48.2

The kind that now only long time listeners know what we're in reference to because new time

0:52.4

0:54.0

But we've kind of bonded to not talk about it. We decided to never bring it up

again. If you hear it again, it's a sign of the end times. Right. Like this is the reality. So my

1:03.4

point with this is that you used to say about that potential series that it was self-indulgent.

1:08.8

I still challenge that concept on its own. However, as we've danced around it. Have we done so that we don't, so that we don't, you know, create a tear in space-time continuum. Exactly. Right. Exactly. Here's the thing. I would argue, no, that wasn't self-indulgent. This is. This new series, Finer Things, is the most self-indulgent of all the series.

1:29.8

Things that we've ever done.

1:30.8

Absolutely. But I still say we can do more. We can be more self-indulgent. And that's why you and I are heading to Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Pipe Show. All right, man. We're going to the Las Vegas Pipe Show. It is exciting, man.

1:45.1

That actually, that was a phone. There's like somebody rigged. Hello. I know, right. Las Vegas Pipe's show. Your phone running out of battery or something. No, we're going to Las Vegas Pipe Show, man. Fall of 2022. It's in October 21st and 23rd. That's right. And go to Vegas Pipe Show right now.
