A lot going on in the world today and a lot to talk about.

What does the final stage of Reaganism look like?

I mean, we're there, remember back in 1981, well, many of you are not old enough to remember it, I am.

And I remember Ronald Reagan giving his inaugural address in 1981.

Interestingly, literally the moment he put his hand on the Bible to be sworn in,

that was the moment that the Iranians released the hostages they had been holding for 444 days

to kill Jimmy Carter's chances to get re-elected.

It turns out now we know that that was a deal that was cut,

according to the president of Iran, body solder.

That was a deal that was cut between the Reagan campaign and the Iranians

and that later turned into what we referred to as the Iran Contra scandal.

But in any case, in 1981 when Reagan took that oath of office and then gave his first inaugural address,

he told us right up front that government was the problem in America.

He said government is not the solution to your problems, government itself is the problem.
