In September of 1609, roughly 420-3 years ago,

this very month, King Philip III of Spain ordered the expulsion,

the final expulsion, of the Muslims of Andalus.

Today, inshallah, we're going to go back to that point in time

and contextualize where and how are Muslims in Andalus in 1609?

We thought, or we are retaught that in 1492,

the final sultan of the Nasrids handed over the keys

to Ferdinand Isabella and the end of Muslim Andalusia to place.

How, then, in September of 1609, is an edict given that Muslims have to be expelled.

And it was one of the most tragic incidents in all of Andalusian history.

Over 30,000 Muslims were forcibly, forcibly expelled.

And many thousands of children were kept the point being
