Imagine it's a hot summer day.

You and your little brother Rudy are walking down Grand Avenue.

With plenty of time on your hands, you and Rudy have already ambled further down the

avenue than you usually do, kicking at rocks, pointing out cool cars as they drive by.

Then you hear something, carnival music, and the rumbling rattle of something that sounds

like a roller coaster.

It's coming from a park across the street.

You and Rudy cross the street and peek through the slats of the fence surrounding the fairgrounds.

On the other side, you can see sunburned families eating hot dogs, popcorn, and ice cream
