This week, guest pastor, Ben Stuart, continued our sermon series on The Fifth Act by preaching on Acts 19 and the impact of Paul’s ministry in Ephesus. Paul’s time in Ephesus invites us to ask: how does the Gospel take root and expand in a powerful and influential city—and how can we mirror that in New York? When we give God our unrivaled affections, His Gospel goes out in power. Pastor Ben encouraged us to release idols we cling to for comfort and control through confession and repentance, and allow our delight in God to transform our lives and impact the world around us.

0:18.1	If you're unaware, Ben Stewart is the pastor of Passion City Church in Washington, D.C.
0:24.4	And he's the author of a few books, one called Single, Dating, Engaged, and Married.

0:33.6	And he also wrote a book called Rest and War, Rhythms for a well-fought life.
0:39.3	Prior to joining Passion City Church, Ben served for 11 years as the executive director of
0:44.5	Breakaway Ministries, which is this weekly gathering for thousands of college students, Texas A&M.
0:50.3	Ben earned a master's degree in historical theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Donna, live to inspire and equip people to walk with God for a lifetime. So could we just like make some noise for Ben Stewart as he comes to teach God's Word this morning?

1:18.3	It is great to see all of you.
1:21.3	Like our brother said, my name's Ben.
1:27.3	My wife, Donna, and I are from the small town, comparatively, down the road of D.C. And I have to say this before we jump into
1:30.3	our text. We'll be in Acts 19. I'll read a couple verses to us in a moment. If you want to turn
1:34.9	there, it'll help you. But I have had the privilege of being in the room three times while
1:40.2	your pastor, John, has spoken to people that I care deeply about. And all three times,
1:47.4	I have watched him, by the grace of God, stir hope and joy in the hearts of people that I really
1:55.5	care deeply about. And I'm so grateful for him, for how God uses him. I'm grateful for what God is doing here in this city. And so I just wanted to honor your pastor. I love him. And by proxy, therefore, love you. And I'm so thrilled to be here with you. So if you got a copy of your scriptures, we're in Acts chapter 19. Acts 19. It's a long chapter. I won't read it all, but I am going to read
2:19.1	probably the first half, kind of loaded into our minds. We'll pray and then jump into it today.
