Let's just call this one the Fesco and what a mess it's been this week for Bob Fesco at 965.

City. He's a guy that I personally am okay with every time I've been around Bob. He's a good

person. He's a great family man. He's a fine husband and father. There's a lot of really good

things about Bob Fesco. He's rooted in our community. He does a lot of neat things.

He's always had one shortcoming as a radio host, and that is just over-the-top sensationalism,

acting like he knows something that he doesn't know. And this has gone on for decades between his time here working for me at Sports Radio 810 and then his time in St. Louis, and then back here, it always seems to

work the same way. Controversy surrounds comments that he makes. He states them as fact.

He parses words and says things like, I'm hearing and sort of, which were the famous ones on this

one, which is his out, I guess, as he spent most of Monday telling all of Kansas City that the Royals were going to be moving

to the old Sprint campus at 119th and Nall.

What Bob did not do was call the owners of the land and try to ask them for any comment

because the owners of that land were followed up by other members of the media after Fesco did this.

It's owned by a company called

Asperia LLC, and they have stated emphatically loud, absolutely not. We are doing our own thing.

We're developing this land on our own. It's mixed use. Why would we sell it when we have the most

prime real estate in Johnson County can develop this land in any way, shape, or form that we see necessary

to make a huge profit. This came on the heels of a company called 3D development, which is attached

to the Royals should they build downtown, taking old historic buildings and transforming them into something

new. I suspect there's government money involved in that, saying that they were
