Hello, friends, this is Evangelist Scott Pauli. I'm so happy that you are joining our broadcast today.

0:11.9

Several years ago, when we first began the Enjoying the Journey broadcast, we started with my favorite book of the Bible.

0:19.0

I've adopted it really is my life's study on the book of

0:22.3

Philippians. And the theme, of course, of that great book is the joy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

0:28.0

Truly, it is the Bible treaties on what it means to enjoy the journey. Now we're thrilled to share

0:35.5

this anniversary series with you again in the hopes that God will use it in your life to help you learn to enjoy the Lord Jesus Christ at whatever stage you happen to be on on life's journey.

0:46.8

I trust that these studies from the Word of God today will refresh your spirit and renew your strength for the days ahead.

0:53.6

God bless you as you listen.

0:58.6

1:30.6

gospel, joy comes along with that salvation. When you live according to the gospel, there's joy in the

1:38.3

life of obedience. And so really, the joy is connected to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

1:49.1

We've discovered that already in Philippians chapter 1, where there are repeated references to the gospel.

1:50.5

And why does God repeat himself?

1:52.6

Why is this special emphasis found in the opening of this book?

1:56.6

Because the gospel is not only the way in which we come to know the Lord,

2:01.5

it's also the truth that is to guide our Christian life.

2:05.9

Now, the last time we studied together, we looked at a little phrase in verse 27 of Philippians 1.

2:11.2

It is this phrase, the faith of the gospel.

2:14.6

I mean, I say that's at the foundation.
