Baby Ray Vaughn playing Hendrix, probably now I was obsessed with Hendrix in high school.

War, my mom's colorful shirts, wrote on them.

Jimmy Hendrix went to school with my guitar and would get in trouble.

Stevie Ray Vaughn, the same, did the same thing.

I've actually put the work in and learned how to play as well as Jimmy Hendrix.

And I was lucky enough to hang out with him.

Did you guys know that? You know I get to hang with the Stevie Ray Vaughn?

On night music with David Sandborn, I used to shoot these little short features.

And Stevie Ray was in there one day and we spent an afternoon together.

You know, one of those pinched me moments of, I can't believe I'm sitting with you.

Can we talk about Jimmy Hendrix's effects, guitar effects?

And we were playing songs and he was telling me how he got each individual sound effect.

How amazing is that?

Was this in his sober or pre-s sober days?

I don't know. I was a kid. I was in New York.

This is like my first job and here I was.

I was sitting in this little room and I would shoot these little short bumper films

with people like Miles Davis or Stevie every week.

This person would just come in and sit down and my mind would be blown.
