Welcome to our daily Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Tomorrow, November 27th, is the feast of the miraculous medal.

But since this year, that's the first Sunday of Advent, I want to dedicate this Rosary to the apparition of the

miraculous metal.

For on this day in 1830, well it would be tomorrow, Mary appeared to St. Catherine Labore in a small chapel in Paris. Our lady was clothed all in white.

She was standing on the earth. Under one of her feet was the head of a green serpent representing Satan, whom she was crushing with her heel.

In her hands, she held a golden ball surmounted by a cross representing the world, and she seemed

to be offering it to God as a sign of her universal intercession.

Her eyes were at times raised to heaven and then lowered to the golden ball

representing the earth.

St. Catherine relates,

all at once, I saw rings on her fingers,

three rings to each finger,

each ring set with gems,

which emitted rays of light.

Mary said, this ball that you see represents the whole world and each person in particular.
