On April 25th we celebrate the Feast of St. Mark the Evangelist. St. Mark wrote one of the Gospel accounts and was a companion of St. Paul on his first missionary journey. However, in the Acts of the Apostles, we discover that St. Mark abandoned St. Paul, and that St. Paul would not allow St. Mark to accompany him on his second journey. In this meditation, Fr. Mark is a loyal disciple of the Lord, who then became disciple of St. Peter.

Tradition has it that he wrote the gospel of St. Peter, that he listened to St. Peter preach, and that then the early Christian
