night. Now let me say this is a disclaimer. It's a sliding scale because much of what airs on cable news is

anywhere from poorly warmed over pro wrestling to trash. All right, but that notwithstanding I happen to

think it was the finest monologue that's ever aired in the history of cable news. We are going to sample some of

those clips and Todd and Aaron are going to decide if I'm fake news or not for claiming it that to be the case.

And then pop culture Tuesday will look at the intersection between pop culture and conservatism with movie theaters beginning to

reopen and Aaron and I have both gone to the movies recently will talk about that experience and what it means for

normalization of the culture going forward. But before we get to all of that here is Aaron's run down of what happened while we were away.

What happened while we were away brought to you by more unrest President Trump gave a speech to the nation from the rose

garden yesterday. The following measures are going into effect immediately. First we are ending the riots and

lawlessness that has spread throughout our country. We will end it now. Today I have strongly recommended to every

governor to deploy the national guard in sufficient numbers that we dominate the streets. If a city or state refuses to take

the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military

and quickly solve the problem for them. I am also taking swift and decisive action to protect our great capital, Washington DC.

What happened in the city last night was a total disgrace.
