0:18.0	Well, we are in Daniel Chapter 2, and I'll'll tell you when I was in my 20s I listened to
0:27.2	cassette tapes in my car of pastor Tommy Nelson teach this book and particularly this chapter and I
0:35.0	listened to it so many times it's really as I look back on it where I learned to
0:39.7	preach. It was the first time I wasn't just listening to a sermon, but even just listening to how a sermon was constructed because I was so impacted by this passage we're jumping into together. And as I think back on it, I think one of the things that gripped me the most about the book of Daniel is that it's this perfect combination of perspective and practice
1:01.0	helping me understand the world I live in and then understand how to move
1:05.2	within it. We've talked about this before that why do you come to church? For many of us
1:12.0	we come for really one of those two things and if you think
1:14.7	about it like a sporting event like I don't know if you watched football yesterday
1:17.9	like my team the Aggies triumphant over Florida there's two people that are doing a lot of talking when you watch a
1:25.0	game. There's commentators speaking to the audience to give you perspective on
1:29.7	what you're seeing on the field. And then there's also coaches speaking to the players
1:34.5	to tell them what there should do as they enter into the field of play. And as you
1:39.5	talk about pastors and sermons at church, it should do both. That you come here looking for a commentator,
1:46.6	give me perspective on what I'm seeing in the world and what God is up to, but then also
1:51.6	coach me on practically how I'm supposed to move as I step
1:56.2	out into the world and last week in Daniel chapter one it was very much that practical
2:00.4	coaching we watched Daniel a believer in God, transported to Babylon, a culture that does not hold his same values.
2:08.0	And we looked at how does a Christian navigate the culture? How does a believer move in Babylon?
