Summary
When her mother finally found a house they could afford, it felt like relief. Space. Quiet. A chance to start over.
But almost immediately, the house began responding to them—running water in an empty bathroom, lights turning on by themselves, footsteps where no one should be. At first, it was easy to explain away. Old house noises. A scared kid’s imagination.
Until someone else felt it too. Until furniture was moved. Until a voice made itself heard.
