Summary

Talking points: culture, psychology, masculinity

I've covered the data behind this multiple times. A lot of men—not just in North America but globally—are struggling. Today I want to spark some dialogue by bringing some attention to what I think are just a few of the underlying reasons.

And I want your thoughts, too. Comment if you're on Spotify, DM me on Instagram. This is worth talking about beyond the usual blame games or "it's always been like this" deflection.

less men are going to college and ever before. There's less men in the workforce. There's more

0:43.1

men living at home. There's less men dating. There's less men having sex. There's, you know,

as a very real challenge that we should all be concerned about. But I wanted to focus today on

1:18.5

the three main contributing factors that I think are playing into this. There's others,

1:22.8

and I would love to hear your thoughts, but these are three main ones that if you are a man that feels like you're in

1:28.4

decline, or if you know a man who is struggling and is in a little bit of a decline or a rut,

1:33.4

one of these three things is probably contributing to him having a hard time. Number one is the

1:39.8

crisis of meaning and purpose. We have largely stripped mind out the ways in which men find and derive

1:49.2

meaning and purpose from existence. For many, many men, the key here, we could talk about providing,
