Today, Genesis, chapters 3 and 4 and Moses, chapter 4 and 5.

So to give a label to this, this is the great event that we call the fall. The fall of Adam and Eve.

It's, as we talked about last week, it happens to be the second pillar of three upholding the

plan of salvation, the creation, then the fall, then the infinite atonement of Jesus Christ.

We are going to cover some really, really important doctrines, some important scriptures

here.

We want to emphasize the beauty of an ongoing restoration of truth, line upon line, precept on precept, hear a little, there

a little. So if you look at the overall picture from a 30,000-foot view, we have our Genesis

account of the fall in chapters three and four. That's what the world had for millennia of time, interpreting

their understanding of the fall. Then the restoration of the gospel begins in the dispensation

of the fullness of times, and we get some additional insight into the fall in the Book of Mormon, which teaches some amazing

new truths and new perspectives on Adam and Eve's story in the Garden of Eden and on agency

and on the role of Jesus Christ through the process of helping us to overcome the fall. It's beautiful.
