Twilight Zone and Star Trek, which speculated on humanity's place in the universe.

Amid this excitement, a growing number of reports of unidentified flying objects, or

UFOs, began to capture the public imagination.

From mysterious lights in the sky to strange encounters with alien beings.

UFO sighting seemed to be on the rise, and with them came both wonder and fear.

The 1960s became a pivotal decade for UFO culture, as incidents like the Betty and Barney Hill

abduction in 1961 made headlines, convincing many that we were not alone in this universe.
