I had this overwhelming sense that I had to give a Bible to this man.

But where do you get a Bible on a train?

And I got up and felt in my case and sure enough it was there.

So I handed it to him.

And I said, that's for you.

He went white as a sheep and he couldn't speak.

And then he suddenly said, how did you know that six weeks ago we had the only Bible

we've ever seen stolen from us? These people have been denied the Word of God for 75

years because of communism. I said, what you have observed is me being used as a postman.

And God could use anybody as a postman.

And of course, your name, Gilbo, is quite unusual. And I can remember years ago at Cambridge being

entertained by two relatives of yours who were very famous in the Bible translation industry. And they reminded me that

their father used to translate scriptures riding on horseback in Africa. So it's a particular pleasure

to see that that commitment to scripture is still going on in later generations.
