Hello and welcome back to the scriptures are real. I'm a co-host Lamar, and I'm with my other

co-host, Carrie. Hi, Lamar. co-host carry hi lamar how are you good this is a the second

part to an earlier one that we did about the book of abraham did sort of an intro to the book

of abraham where it came from the papyrus the scrolls the the mummies. We did a little bit of a background on where

that was from, a little bit about Joseph Smith and how he translated it, some ideas on that.

And we might talk about that some more, if that's okay. But one of the things that we brought

up in our earlier one, and some of our friends also talked about in the feedback was the facsimiles.

And this is one of my topics that I got to say that I'm really geeked out about.

I've always thought this is really cool.

Since I was a little kid looking at those things, I'm like, this is actual Egyptian hieroglyphs.

And that's pretty cool.

Does that mean that? And how's it mean?

And so as I got older, I would see, well, how do Egyptologists see this today?

What does it mean? Are these actual, you know, can I write these down?

Can I start translating other things?

We're using this as my Rosetta stone, that kind of stuff. So I know I'm talking fast and crazy, but that's kind of the exciting part for me. So let's talk about the facsimiles. And I have to say that if you want to geek out on the facsimiles, that makes two of us. So we're in good shape here. That's awesome. And I know you have

tons. I don't know how long we'll have to spend today, but there's so many things to get to.

Let's talk about them. So to set this up for the audience, there's three facsimiles. And if you

don't know what the facsimiles are, they're the pictures that appear in the book of Abraham.

And one's at the beginning. One's kind of in the middle and one's kind of near the end.

And the two of them are kind of square looking. And there's one in the middle. The number two is

around one. And that's called a hypocephalus. Carrie will tell us something about that.
