If you gotta leave a drugstore cowboy because it's banned of drug-doughed dodo's, we're

engaged in a petty crime spree that almost passed for a plot. But my own private

Idaho is a different story, a rather non-story. Great blurb Cody picked out

there from Richard Schickle of Time Magazine. He's talking about my own private

Idaho. That's one of the old movies we're reviewing this week. And in addition to

Beau Trevi, I want to give my buddy John LaBoiat gave me all these DVDs. I

finally worked through all of these. So a couple of those old movies I wanted to

watch. And our new this week isn't a new film but is an author of a new book.

Nat Sagaloff is his name. The book is called The Exorcist Legacy and there's

available July 25th. So next Tuesday in bookstores, if you love them, the

exorcist, you will love the book. The 50th anniversary of that movie is

December 26th of 1973. So well time to that. Stories of Ellen Burston and of

course Billy Friedkin, Max Funcedo. And that was really a lot of fun and you'll

enjoy the interview coming up. Of course, they're calling it now. I think it's

Bob and Heimer something like that. The combination of Barbie and Oppenheimer

are coming out this week. So of course, I'll have reviews of both those movies

next week. But it's it's fascinating. People are discussing, you know, at a time

where in some ways the film industry is challenged and we'll get to the

actress strike in just a second. But you know, people say there's nothing good to

see. I'm going to go watch. You've got two big tent pole movies. A

Christopher Nolan film Oppenheimer three hours long available in IMAX and 70
