that has happened since we last spoke and you're sitting there and you know weirdly a lot of it doesn't have to do directly with politics it's bizarre it is it's a testament to this is something I've been thinking about for a while it's a testament to how bad or irrelevant or whatever and I guess a lot of people would look at it as kind of a nice respite but how irrelevant Joe Biden is in the national

discussion if you notice that you could go in the news talk business you could go days maybe in a week without even mentioning Joe Biden he doesn't do public appearances he's not out there he doesn't come forward he doesn't take questions he doesn't interact with media he doesn't interact with the public there is very limited questioning of Joe Biden and so he's hit there and you go and what else is going on

to look ginger curbles being out there every single day at can produce news but even the topics that are asked about at the White House daily press briefing venture into the mundane the boring the there's one or two people in that room will ask any sort of question that is remotely interesting otherwise it's Republicans are up on the hill being awful today would you care to come in on how awful Republicans are well yes I would they're awful everybody's awful everything

is awful thank you thank you thank you we'll see later and not like that's not compelling it's the same reason CNN and MSNBC's ratings are dipping it's the same reason error America didn't work as a radio net remember error America

and all it gave us Rachel Maddow but it was this all liberal network oh they're going to do it and nobody listen to it it failed it it had every advantage every media outlet in the world was giving it free publicity going oh my goodness this is going to be it there finally going to

take on those dastardly conservatives on talk radio and none of them had a sense of humor even the comedians they had on there was funny they had several comedians liberal comedian I know shocking right liberal comedians including Al Frank and who went on to be in the United States Senate he didn't last very long I think I could be wrong about this but I think Mark Marin was on there there was at least another couple comedians they just weren't funny they have a job to do when they're on stage and they practice a routine they write it

routine they can be funny then but off the cuff it's amazing to me how many people who are absolutely hilarious comedians are incapable of being funny on the spot they need it rehearsed they need it written they needed a lot of them do have writers which is also weird like if I if you're not funny why the hell do you want to be a comedian I

never understood that and if you can't be funny like Robin Williams was a genius in that he went up there with just a rough idea of what he was going to talk about and any venture into the audience and just start riffing on the news of the day talking the people back and forth and whatever it was nothing was written nothing was prepared doesn't mean he didn't repeat

himself sometimes but it was on the fly most of the comedians can't do that and most of the people who think here's a little secret and this sounds like I'm patting myself on the back but I'm really not although I post technically I am

whenever you when you do talk radio even when I first started talk radio started in talk radio was an occasional fill in and like a random Saturday afternoon dude in Washington DC there are all these people that was working for Grover Northwest at the time but I just left working for Grover Northwest at the time and I was working for the daily caller at the time and people would come up to me because I'd go to Grover's Wednesday meeting 150 200 conservative groups

and people sitting around letting everybody know what's going on in case they want to get involved without fail after a Saturday of me being on the radio there'd be a couple of people every time that was not very often but every time I was on they come up and say you know I heard you on the radio oh thanks good job you should have them put me on

first of all and that's the program director secondly why would I do that and thirdly could you do that people like Al Franken thought well I've done stand up I've written comedy I am that I'm a smart guy just ask me I can do right any couldn't do radio he couldn't it was terrible they had to put some every one of these people they'd have to put somebody with

they'd always have to put somebody with them that's a sign that it's that's not a whole lot of faith in that person's ability to either to the work

or have the ability to string together coherent sentence without a bunch of ums and uhs and there's nothing worse than a radio host who constantly gives out the telephone number

you know that they're desperately please somebody call up I don't have anything to say please somebody call up please somebody call up

and they just that that famous audio that Sean Hannity plays a valic bald one when he was filling in on in New York whatever station it was or anybody on the phones nobody nobody okay interesting interesting uh the number let me give the number out again like you you prepared about five minutes worth of stuff dude

and you're out of it already and now you've only got two hours and 55 minutes left good luck to you so air america was terrible because the talent wasn't there the ability wasn't there

and nobody wants to hear somebody complain about the country for three hours in a stretch that's what liberal talk radio was the country was terrible here let me give you a lecture on how horrible racism is okay well we get that racism is horrible but let's hear what you have to say your racist that's the entirety of your argument yeah pretty much your racist well that's interesting interesting now you're going to spend the next three hours telling me I'm a horrible

racist or homophobe is llama phobe transfer whatever kind of phobia got just take a word slap a foe on it and and they're done it didn't work out it didn't work out at all that's why CNN isn't working out that's why MSNBC is seeing their ratings tank now it's funny is and the view like the view isn't what it used to be it's still on because they got rid of the most expensive people with the
