Summary

In our second day of looking at how to live an unveiled lifestyle, we’re going to apply the example of Moses to our own lives. Specifically, we’re going to look at the closeness he had with God, the depth of experience and encounter he had with the God who loves you and I just as much as he loves Moses. May God draw us closer to him, and give us eyes to see his face today.

Our Scripture for today comes from Exodus 34:29, and today's worship is Song of Moses by Aaron Keyes.

Several times throughout scripture, we read stories about people who go through various struggles and bear witness to the story that God has woven through their determination, faith, willingness to yield to the Lord in prayer and to be courageous in all the ways that He calls them to be. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus is the most compelling of them all as it tells the story of the God who loved his people and his creation so much that he chose to live among them, to sacrifice on their behalf, to redeem their lives, and to be and example of how to live in a way that honors the Lord, welcomes the kingdom of heaven in their lives, and anticipates the glory of the Lord in every beautiful way. It is our prayer that you would be encouraged today to seek the Holy Spirit and all his benefits as you journey with the Lord along the path on which he is leading you.

0:49.7	Exodus 3429 through 35 says,
0:56.3	When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand,
1:02.5	as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God.
1:05.1	Aaron and all the people of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face shone. And they were afraid to come near to
1:13.6	him, but Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the leaders of the congregation returned to him,
1:20.6	and Moses talked with them. Afterward, all the people of Israel came near, and he commanded
1:26.6	them all that the Lord had spoken with him in Mount Sinai.
1:30.7	And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face.
1:35.9	Whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he would remove the veil until he came out.
1:42.3	And when he came out and told the people of Israel what he was
1:46.0	commanded, the people of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face was shining,
1:52.9	and Moses would put the veil over his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
1:59.3	Moses serves as an important example for you and me.
2:03.0	Moses was a man chosen to go before God, on behalf of his people, and relay the will
2:09.8	and heart of God back to them.
2:12.2	And by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, we are now chosen and transformed to live out the same calling.
