Last weekend, the Warriors who were supposed to represent former president Trump in the impeachment trial

parted ways with the president laid on a Saturday night.

Josh Tassie reports on politics for the post.

He had a simple team of five Warriors from South Carolina with the help of Senator Lindsey Graham, a close ally of his.

But the president and the Warriors apparently splintered on the strategy for the upcoming trial.

And on Saturday night, the former president's office put out a statement saying they would no longer be representing him

and they would be looking for new Warriors.

And then last night, the former president announced two new Warriors.

So I think having a change up in your legal team a week before the impeachment trial is, I would say, a bad sign.

But what do we know about why they parted ways?

Like what this difference in strategy was that was so enormous that it meant that five of the former president's lawyers decided to quit?

The certainly more of a story to come out.
